Data Send store the files for you and provide a simple email with a link to download the files to the recipient.

With our Standard & Branded Packages you can log in to your Data Send UK account and view the files you have recently sent. Your file in box will show the files you have received from other Data Send UK account holders.

Secure file transfer

You may need to send your more sensitive data files using a secure file transfer method. Using the Data Send service all files are transferred using the latest SSL encryption methods as standard and stored on dedicated Data Send servers in the most up to date purpose built Data Centres. These facilities are plugged straight in to the back bone of the internet and safeguarded by comprehensive physical and environmental security measures. Data centre access is strictly limited to security-cleared personnel, controlled by extensive CCTV monitoring and state-of-the-art access control systems.

 

Password protection

If you require even more security you can password protect the download links so that only those who know the password can download the files.

 

Virus scanning on upload

At the core of the system is an extensive virus scanning utility which scans the files as they are being uploaded. Any suspicious files will be rejected by the system. The system automatically updates its virus database and checks the database for updates 12 times a day. Transfer Speeds

There are no bandwidth/speed restrictions in place with the Data Send UK service. This means the system will upload and download files as fast as your internet connection will allow. You will notice from the chart below that the download speeds are very fast and in most cases will be even faster than indicated below. Broadband internet connections have much slower uploads than the download, if you have a 4mb download for example, the upload speed will usually average between 250-480kb/s. Both upload and download speeds are affected by how busy your providers lines are at certain times of the day or night.
